1. Project Summary

Donga Tunto, a remote community in Central Ethiopia, suffers daily from a lack of accessible medical care. Families travel hours—sometimes days—for basic treatment, leading to preventable deaths from treatable illnesses. The Everlasting Gospel Projects (EGP) seeks to raise $200,000 to build and operate a medium-level health clinic that will offer maternity services, diagnostics, emergency care, and more. The clinic will also serve as a center for medical missionary work, bringing hope to both body and soul.

2. The Need: Why Donga Tunto?

  • No nearby well equipped medical services for thousands of people in Donga Tunto and Hadaro.
  • Extreme poverty: Most families live on less than $1.90/day.
  • High rates of preventable illnesses and child mortality.
  • Urgent health conditions include: malaria, pneumonia, maternal deaths, typhoid, trachoma, and malnutrition.
  • 67% of Ethiopian women give birth without skilled help (UNICEF, 2024).

“This is not just a clinic—it is a lifeline.”

3. The Vision: A Mission-Driven Clinic

  • Treat physical illness while pointing people to Jesus Christ.
  • Offer prayer, Bible study opportunities, and health education.
  • Build trust through service, following Christ’s example (Matt. 4:23).

“Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people… He ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me’.” —Ellen G. White, Ministry of Healing, p. 143
